What We Collect
OverwaterGuide collects minimal data. We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This collects anonymized, aggregated data such as page views, referrers, and country of origin. We also record a booking_click event with the resort identifier and button placement when a visitor follows a booking link. It does not use cookies or identify the visitor.
Cookies
We do not set any first-party cookies. Third-party services embedded on the site (such as map tiles from OpenFreeMap/OpenMapTiles and OpenStreetMap data) may set their own cookies according to their respective privacy policies.
Outbound Booking Links
When you click “Check prices” or similar booking links, you are redirected to a third-party booking platform (e.g., Booking.com). These platforms have their own privacy policies. These links do not currently contain an OverwaterGuide affiliate identifier, and we do not receive a commission from them.
If you contact us via email, we will use your email address only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your email with third parties.
Data Retention
Analytics retention follows the current Vercel service settings. We do not store contact forms, booking details, or personal profiles on our servers.
Your Rights
OverwaterGuide does not offer user accounts or personal profiles, so there is normally no account data to access, export, or delete.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
